10 Things You Don't Want To Admit About The Marvel Cinematic Universe
10. Its Not All Perfect
So far the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been remembered for its successes more than its failures, to the degree that the the latter seem to have been erased from the history books entirely, like disgraced politicians in communist Russia. People talk a lot more about how great Iron Man was at setting up the whole franchise, what a surprise Guardians Of The Galaxy was, that the genre shift for The Winter Soldier was brilliant and subversive, and how theyd been waiting years for an Avengers movie. The MCU has been far from perfect so far, though. The Incredible Hulk, their second entry in the franchise, was a notable misfire - Edward Norton was good casting, but his meddling and the less-than-stellar direction of Louis Leterrier didn't help. The first Captain America was fun but fairly ordinary, as was Thor: The Dark World. There are notable problems with even all the mostly great Marvel movies so far, but they get lost in the less nuanced discourse that labels things as either THE BEST or the worst.
