10 Things Everybody Gets Wrong About The Marvel Cinematic Universe
4. Red Skull (Or Indeed Any "Dead" Character) Is Dead
At the end of Captain America: The First Avenger, the Red Skull was killed in most people's eyes, having been seemingly disintegrated by the power of the Tesseract when he tried to handle it... or was he? Given that it is now known that the Tesseract is the Space Stone, the likelihood is that the Red Skull was simply transported to a distant location and is plotting his return to Earth, having acquired even more power, right now. It seems very strange that such a prominent figure - especially one so essential to HYDRA, the main evil organisation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - would be killed off permanently, so the likelihood is that he will actually return at some point in the future. The same goes for every "dead" character in the franchise. People should know better now that so many characters have been resurrected. "Dead" simply doesn't mean "permanently dead" in the world of comic book heroes and villains and any of the supposedly deceased characters - Ronan and Malekith for example - may yet return at some point.
