10 Things Everyone Gets Wrong About The MCU

9. Marvel Has Shied Away From Making Another Hulk

Nobody likes Marvel fans when they're angry, and some of them are downright furious that Mark Ruffalo's Hulk is yet to be given the solo outing he deserves.

Some believe the studio has shied away from giving the character another standalone movie because both Ang Lee's The Hulk and The Incredible Hulk underwhelmed on some level, though that's simply not true.

The fact of the matter is that Marvel would love to make another Hulk movie, but a messy distribution agreement with Universal is a roadblock in the way.

The two studios had a distribution deal in place for The Incredible Hulk, the product of a time when Marvel needed outside help to get its films to the big screen, and Universal has no desire to cut ties with such a lucrative property. Therefore, the House of Mouse can't make a Hulk movie without sharing some of the profits with Universal.

Now that Marvel has enough clout to distribute its own projects, it's chosen to give Banner prominent roles in the Avengers and movies like Thor: Ragnarok, rather than develop a Hulk movie and share the money it banks with a rival studio.
