10 Things Hollywood Must Get Right With The Dark Tower Movie

6. Cast Aaron Paul As Eddie Dean, Duh!

Yep: this was a great shout back in 2014, and it's a great shout now. Dark Tower fans will remember that the very awesome Aaron Paul - best known for his role in Breaking Bad as loveable drug dealer Jesse Pinkman - was in talks with Ron Howard back when he was planning to direct the film himself. "I've had a ton of meetings on that," he said of it. "I just had a general sit down with Ron Howard - such a crazy thing to even think that Ron Howard even knows who I am. They're definitely planning on making it.€ Even though Ron has since left the project in a directorial capacity (he has stayed on as a producer, 'cause why wouldn't you?), there's no reason why Aaron Paul shouldn't still get first dibs on playing Eddie Dean, one of The Dark Tower's best and most important characters. A 23-year-old heroine addict who later trains to be a gunslinger under Roland, Paul feels like perfect casting - it's totally obvious why Howard set up a meeting with him. "From what I hear, Eddie Dean is a pretty epic, iconic character," Aaron Paul later stated. That's right, Aaron - and you need to play him. Isn't it time for your next huge role, pal?
