2. Give Green Lantern Another Chance
The casting of Common as John Stewart was just about the only bright casting choice in the project. In his few solo scenes, we're shown more imaginative uses of his ring than two hours of the 2011 Green Lantern movie. Perhaps most excitingly, in the film's climax, he uses it create ring projection of Superman to fight the real thing. John Stewart would also make a great new Green Lantern. That doesn't mean giving up on Hal Jordan (Geoff Johns has produced too much great Hal-centric material to draw from), but Stewart would do fine as the team's Green Lantern. So would Kyle Rayner (but please no Guy Gardner!), in fact. Using Jon Stewart as the team's Green Lantern allows Warner Bros. to move on from the failure of the Ryan Reynolds movie, anyway. Jon Stewart would also add some much needed diversity to the JL roster, and comic book movies in general, being one of the few non-white superheroes and all.
