3. You Can Introduce A Load Of Superheroes In One Movie (But Please Don't)
The script does a surprisingly effective job of introducing a lot of characters. By the end, you get a sense of who each character is and what makes them tick. The only characters that get the Hawkeye treatment of being under-utilised are Superman and Martian Manhunter. But everyone else is given the chance to shine at one point or another. But the Marvel model of introducing the characters in solo movies first, before bringing them together as a team, is much more exciting. As a viewer, the cross-over movie is such a great concept that it's silly not to take advantage of it. 10 years ago, most fans would have said that a Justice League movie would have been a bigger deal than The Avengers. But Marvel did a great job building the anticipation of seeing their superheroes (who had previously been relatively unknown) sharing the screen for the first time. Warner Bros. needs to take its time in building towards a Justice League movie, introducing each character on their own terms, and not just throwing them all into a Justice League movie right off the bat.
