Mission Impossible 6: 10 Things It Must Address

1. Begin To Wrap Things Up

Mission Impossible might just have room for one more film after part six, if Tom Cruise is up for it, but either 6 or 7 should be the final movie in the franchise. As Cruise approaches his mid-fifties, there's only so much longer he's going to be able to play Ethan Hunt, no matter how youthful he still looks. And frankly, an actor of his caliber has plenty of other roles awaiting, so it's not as if he needs to keep returning to this particular well.

Going out with a bang should be the focus, but if the franchise does go for another two films, the idea of tying up all the little loose ends from over the years seems appealing, starting with some of those created by Rogue Nation (Ilsa Faust, where the rest of the Syndicate operatives wind up, what Hunley's role will be, etc.).

In any case, despite all the points that need to be addressed, Mission Impossible has a very strong chance to do the improbable, and go out on top.
