10 Things Movies Need To Stop Doing IMMEDIATELY
1. Focusing Too Much On Sequel-Baiting End Credits Scenes
There was a time there when fans simply had no choice but to keep their butts glued to their seats on the back of a much-anticipated blockbuster coming to its apparent end.
However, in the years since that early spell of outstanding and satisfying post-credits scenes found in the likes of the MCU, it's safe to say the quality and impact of these moments has experienced a bit of a decline.
And worse than that, other studios have since gotten a bit too obsessed with the concept of teeing up sequels and universes after a flick, to the point where the entire film now sometimes feels like little more than filler to set the stage for the real main event in the credits!
The likes of Morbius, Venom: Let There be Carnage and Black Adam all sit as recent painful examples of studios trying to lazily excite fans into clamouring for more Sony Spider-Man Universe and DCEU outings. But those jarring supervillain team-ups, empty symbiote/spidey promises, and Man of Steel comebacks all ultimately proved to be a bit of a waste of time for varying but equally disappointing reasons in the end.
Going forward, the wise call may be to just focus on creating a film that people can genuinely get giddy about before teasing or mapping out any future big-screen showdowns, eh?
