10 Things That Need To Happen In The Marvel Cinematic Universe
7. A Cosmic Or Abstract Being Makes Its Presence Known
One of the most frightening things about comic books is that even heroes at the power levels of the likes of Hulk and Thor are essentially insects compared to the cosmic and abstract beings who reside in the cosmos and in other dimensions. The only truly abstract being that we've seen in any Marvel movie to date is the very poorly depicted Galactus in the Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer - the planet devourer being presented as a gigantic cloud who was quite easily defeated by his own herald in the end. The Marvel Cinematic Universe could do with introducing someone of Galactus' level (or beyond) - such as the Beyonder, no pun intended - in order to let the heroes know that, in the grand scheme of things, they are helpless and hopelessly outmatched, because there is nothing worse than a movie in which the heroes are depicted as being unbeatable. It's good for audiences to feel that risk element to make the heroes' ultimate fate unknown.
