1. Dakota Johnson Finds Her Own Character "Boring"
Because actors in this movie apparently can't avoid putting their feet in their mouths, Dakota Johnson had some less-than-flattering words to say about her own character, Anastasia Steele. When asked about how she got into character, Johnson famously responded that, "She's an English major, so that's kinda boring", which was picked up by just about every major news and entertainment website and, of course, blown totally out of proportion. Still, it's not exactly the sort of comment an actor should be making about the character they're playing, especially with so much box office revenue on the line. Perhaps Johnson just simply hasn't found a way to engage with the character, and that's why her performance has reportedly been criticised by producers.
