10 Things You Need To Know About Michael Bay's TMNT

An attempt to gain greater insight into whether this Michael Bay reboot might actually work.

We're less than a month away from the long-gestating Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie reboot dropping (unless you live in the UK, in which case you inexplicably have to wait until October 17th), and the advertising push is in full swing, with trailers, teasers, and the inevitable action figures and promotional tie-ins flooding our TV screens and favourite web pages. This is a movie that so many fans of TMNT want to see done right, though audience skepticism is understandable, given that Michael Bay has produced the film, and it's directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Battle Los Angeles, Wrath of the Titans), who has yet to make a good film. Then there's the Megan Fox casting issue (something we'll tackle head-on shortly), as well as the numerous stalled attempts to get the movie rolling, and an embarrassing leaked script that was, to be kind, an abomination. Though it's smart not to be seduced by the glossy trailers, it's also important to give the movie a fair shot and to not hate it before you're even sitting down to watch it: to that end, we've come up with 10 interesting tidbits, both positive and negative, which give us greater insight into whether this reboot might actually be any good at all. What are your expectations for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Let us know in the comments!
