10 Things You Need To Know About Michael Bay's TMNT
10. William Fichtner Is Signed For 3 Films
If you're worried about Liebesman blowing Shredder on one movie, fear not, because the man behind the armour, legendary character actor William Fichtner, has revealed that he's been signed on for a total of three TMNT films. Granted, there are those who believe that Fichtner's American businessman Eric Sachs (white-washed from the original Oroku Saki) may actually turn out not to be Shredder, but there's little point in keeping a bureaucrat character like this around for three movies (and casting a world-class actor to play him, no less) unless something important is going to be done with him. We suspect that either Shredder will simply be defeated yet survive to team up with other villains in the sequels (spoiler alert), or as is far more interesting, Sachs will perhaps become Super Shredder in one of the later movies (presuming it does well enough to warrant them, which it almost certainly will). Whatever the circumstances behind Fichtner's continued appearances, it means we get his supreme talent for three films, and that's never a bad thing.
