5. The Inevitable Pizza Hut Promotion

Aside from how they look, what's the most memorable characteristic of the Turtles? Of course, it's the fact that they can't get enough of pizza, and unsurprisingly, this has made for plenty of awesome commercial opportunities, to tie each Turtles movie in with a pizza restaurant. Pizza Hut supported the release of the guy-in-suit live-action Turtles movies from the 1990s, and have returned again to take another slice of the (pizza) pie with the new TMNT. The new Pizza Hut commercial is set at one of the company's test kitchens at night, as the Turtles break in and use their awesome martial arts skills to whip up the perfect pizza. Apparently everyone else forgot the recipe for cheesy bites, because "thanks to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, cheesy bites are back." It may be the simplest of cross-promotions, but it totally works, and has us undeniably nostalgic for all those pizza-based tie-ins during the 90s run of Turtles movies (and feeling mighty hungry, too).
