10 Things You Need To Know About The New Harry Potter Film

1. Who Should Be In It: Ben Whishaw, Obviously

This is going to be a major franchise for years to come, and that means that getting the casting right for the main character is essential. It's interesting, because although these movies will likely be huge box office hits, they're not exactly the giant action adventure films that people normally think of when they hear the world blockbuster, so there is the possibility that more serious actors could be enticed to sign on with the project, actors that might usually shy away from the idea of working on a major franchise. Our immediate instinct is that they need to hire Ben Whishaw, like, yesterday. He's a brilliant actor, and he may be a few years older than what they're looking for (he's 33, and the character is in his 20s), but he would be absolutely perfect in the role. We would also be willing to consider Charlie Cox, Sam Riley, Aneurin Barnard, Eddie Redmayne, or Nicholas Hoult. Harry Potter is known for its freakishly stellar casting, so a bad call here would haunt the production for a long time. But hey, no pressure. We're not picky. It's just the fate of a three film franchise that hangs in the balance.
