Is there nothing this man can't do? Target: 2006? Generation 2? The IDW-verse? He's no perfect writer by any means, but of all the writers associated with Transformers, Simon Furman has always understood that the Autobots and Decepticons were three-dimensional characters with thoughts, feelings and desires unhampered by the fact that they were really just toys in disguise. Either as a script-writer or a creative consultant, Furman could surely bring in his creative juices and, at the very least, provide a respectable story alongside some genuinely decent characters that could make any future Transformers film satisfying for the mind as well as the eyes.
