10 Things That Could Save The Transformers Movies

7. Take Inspiration From Other Media

One would do well to sit down with the box set of Beast Wars or a few hardbacks of either classic Marvel or contemporary IDW titles. Hell, even Dreamwave's disastrous take on the G1 universe gave way to some entertaining stories. Even the more contemporary television spin-offs of Transformers, such as Animated and Prime, really have left the live-action films in a cloud of dust with their near-constant high quality narrative and characters, on top of how the Transformers mythos is handled in general. The comics themselves provide a superb level of insight into how Transformers should work. They're generally unhampered with having to promote toys like the majority of the films and TV series are, and thus take advantage of giving fans a mixture of thought-provoking adventures with care and attention to detail in characters. One almost wants to see well-worn copies of Target: 2006 littered all over the set of Transformers 5, just to give some hope!
