10 Things That NEED To Happen In Upcoming Movie Sequels

9. Valkyrie's Big Gay Wedding - Thor: Love & Thunder

Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) became the ruler of New Asgard at the end of Avengers: Endgame, and Thor: Love and Thunder will reportedly pick up with her anointed as king and seeking out a queen to rule by her side.

Thompson has previously confirmed that Valkyrie is bisexual, and both her and producer Kevin Feige have since stated that Love and Thunder will actively address the character's sexuality.

While on one hand it'd be amusing to toy with gender roles and have a male love interest become Valkyrie's queen, it'd be far more interesting to see Valkyrie tie the knot with a woman.

Given Disney's generally flaky stance on LGBTQ+ representation in their major movie franchises - bigots still buy tickets, after all - giving Valkyrie a flashy, upfront gay wedding that can't be edited out for "less-tolerant" international markets would be an impressive power move.

Eternals having openly gay characters and even a gay kiss was a step in the right direction, and given that Valkyrie is quite naturally seeking out a partner in Love and Thunder, tiptoeing around her bisexuality to keep foreign censors happy would feel majorly cowardly.

Give Valkyrie a big, gay wedding on New Asgard with all the major characters in attendance. Let there be fireworks, an extravagant meal, and an insane party - it'd be a great way to either start or end the movie.
