10 Things That NEED To Happen In Upcoming Movie Sequels

3. Tom Cruise Cameos As An Iron Man Variant - Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness looks absolutely wild, with its multiversal shenanigans set to make it the most adventurous, wacky Marvel Cinematic Universe movie yet.

The trailer already hints that we're going to see an appearance from Patrick Stewart's Professor Xavier, and given all the barmy potential the multiverse invites, why not milk it for every drop?

Ideally the sequel should just throw every ridiculous variant cameo at the screen that the production can afford, and by far the most persistent rumour among fans is that Tom Cruise may have a cameo in the film as an alternate Tony Stark.

Why Cruise? He was actually set to play Stark in a 1990s Iron Man movie that never came to fruition, and so bringing him in for even a tiny cameo would be incredibly crowd-pleasing.

It's certainly possible. Cruise has been spending a lot of time in London over the last year, where Multiverse of Madness has itself been shooting, and depending on the nature of the cameo Cruise could possibly film it in a single day.

Then again, Cruise is also enormously protective of his image and has shied away from franchise fare that isn't entirely built around him, so this may not be something that interests him. Fingers and toes are crossed.
