10 Things That The Batman Gets Absolutely Right

Unfortunately some movies have ignored this entirely, or even pitched Jim Gordon as some helpless schmuck that just gets dragged along with the flow. What a waste of a character! Fortunately here though, that’s not the case.

Here Jim is a useful ally to Batman, being his helper within the GCPD in that he uses his position to keep Batman out of hot water with the law. In one scene we see Batman surrounded by cops insisting that he gets put behind bars, and it is only diffused when Gordon clears the room and allows for Bats to escape.

Gordon sees the use that Gotham has for Batman, and acknowledges that they have the common goal of eradicating crime and corruption. It’s one of the more fleshed out versions of Gordon we’ve seen on screen and that can never be a bad thing!
