9. Remind Us He’s A Crazy Person (But Not Zsasz Crazy)
Let's all agree that Bruce Wayne needs help. Not at beating people up, that's a morning stroll for him. But Bruce needs a therapist, and unfortunately the closest he has had to one most of the time is a butler that enables his temper-tantrums.
Throughout the comics, Batman has displayed traits of a true psychopath; and with that, it has been translated to films wherein he justifies bugging every phone in Gotham City (fascism much?) or sitting alone in the dark in his mansion just waiting for the Bat Symbol (crime-thirsty much?).
An interesting note to remember is Jokers fascination with Batman leans a little towards them both being the same person; just one of them stepped over the insanity edge a lot sooner than the other.
In Batman Forever, the attempt to diagnose Bruce Wayne was handled lazily via Chase Meridian but it did cast an interesting spotlight on the psyche of Batman. For most of the time, films associate Bruce Wayne as a man seeking virtuous justice; but when his mental state is addressed by the likes of Dick Grayson or Alfred it adds a layer to the man we rarely think about.
Remember, he's "The God-Damned Batman!". His words, not ours.
