10 More Worthwhile Things The Margaret Thatcher Funeral Could Have Funded

1. Bubba Nosferatu: Curse of the She-Vampires

Ron Perlman It still amazes me that the totally absurd Bubba Ho-tep was made for a ridiculous $1m. This isn't to say that the film has amazing cinematography or looks very high-budget, but damnit, that is economic filmmaking at its best, especially considering the fact it stars the B-movie legend Bruce Campbell. The film was a critical success and despite only barely making its measly budget back, the film has become a cult classic, and rightly so. For years, a sequel called Bubba Nosferatu has been teased, with Bruce Campbell wanting to reprise the role of Elvis while Paul Giamatti joins the cast to play Colonel Parker. Bruce Campbell eventually bailed from the project, and it seemed that Nosferatu was dead, at least until Giamatti suggested that Ron Perlman was tipped to replace Campbell as Elvis. Curiously, though, not long after this the funding appeared to completely dry up, and we've heard practically nothing about it in the last 5 years or so. Given that the original cost $1m, even if this sequel cost a ridiculous $10m, Thatcher's funeral could have easily paid for it. What do you think Margaret Thatcher's funeral expenditure could have been better spent on? Let us know in the comments below.
