10 More Worthwhile Things The Margaret Thatcher Funeral Could Have Funded

8. Shenmue 3

Shenmue 3 Alright, so this one's a pretty damn tall order given that the first Shenmue cost approximately $70m to make - and that's exactly why it made no money - as well as the fact that it's not too uncommon for AAA games to cost close to $100m these days (GTA IV cost just that). £10m might not give you a whole game, but it's a damn good start up fund; it shows serious commitment, and would be enough for a development team to get together to start hashing out ideas. I'm not saying I need a super high-budget Shenmue game, but just one that continues Ryo's story and gives us the resolution we've all been dying for since the excruciating cliffhanger ending of the second game. The creators of the original series have been contemplating setting up a Shenmue 3 Kickstarter fund, but there's the administrative issues involved also, such as getting Sega to sign off on it, which is incredulously harder than it sounds (it's a Shenmue sequel, damnit!).
