10 Things To Expect From Upcoming DCEU Movies

9. Zack Snyder Is Quietly Phased Out

Zack Snyder is by far the most contentious creative voice of the DCEU, and recent word has suggested that he may end up being quietly phased out of the franchise following his departure from Justice League's director's chair due to a family tragedy.

It's obviously an awful time for Snyder, but creates a convenient, polite way for Warner Bros. to transition him out and have the DCEU's "Brain Trust", reportedly consisting of Joss Whedon, James Wan, Matt Reeves and Patti Jenkins, take the creative lead.

While Snyder may remain a producer on many DCEU movies, it seems likely that he won't direct another entry into the series after Justice League, and it's entirely possible that if the movie is a mega-hit, new director Joss Whedon will be asked to fully helm the sequel.

The circumstances of Snyder's departure are awful, but all things considered, him stepping away from these movies creatively is probably the best thing for everyone. A new voice can hopefully help straighten things out.
