10 Things To Expect From Upcoming DCEU Movies
7. Less Executive Meddling
There's arguably no bigger enemy to the DCEU's success than Warner Bros. themselves, with their insistence that they know better than the successful filmmakers they've hired resulting in at least two of their four movies to date (Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad) being severely compromised in post-production.
Wonder Woman reportedly didn't suffer the same interference from studio executives, and this is handily reflected in the movie's overall quality, so at least there's hope here that they might link the film's success to their more hands-off approach to the project.
Reports suggest that the massive re-shoots on Justice League were a necessity and will be for the better, so hopefully it isn't an indication of yet more over-the-top studio intervention to come.
Rather, it seems probable that reliable directors such as James Wan (Aquaman) and David F. Sandberg (Shazam!) will simply be left to do the job they were hired for without any aggressive micro-management.
