10 Things We Don't Want To See In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

But will happen anyway...

These are exciting times for comic book movie fans. DC's Cinematic Universe is up and running, Sony's Amazing Spider-Man franchise is two movies in, Fox's X-Men franchise is as popular as ever and the Fantastic Four are set to join in the fun in that universe and, of course, Marvel Studios' own Marvel Cinematic Universe is arguably the hottest property in Hollywood. Consequently, there is a lot to look forward to on the scene, with the Avengers sequel, Ant-Man, Batman Vs Superman, X-Men: Apocalypse, the Fantastic Four reboot and a Sinister Six movie just some of the upcoming offerings that will tickle our collective fancy. However, while we're all extremely excited about what's to come, we do have our concerns - not least about some of the likely inclusions in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe projects. Characters being overused, characters being poorly portrayed and certain inevitable plot elements are all things that are undoubtedly going to bug us and we're going to have to grin and bear them. So, without further ado, let's take a look at some inclusions we're expecting in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that we're not looking forward to. Here are ten things we don't want to see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which will happen anyway)...

Dishonourable Mention: A Rushed Ant-Man Movie

This is already filming, so it doesn't make the actual list, but it definitely warrants a mention. Ant-Man has been a troubled project from the start. The very concept has made people question whether it's a good idea, but the doubts disappeared when Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim Vs the World director Edgar Wright was put at its helm and Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas were cast as Scott Lang and Hank Pym respectively. However, Wright left the project due to creative differences with Marvel in May of 2014 and, despite the film being released in July of 2015, Marvel Studios went back to the drawing board, rewrote the script and started from scratch with the same release deadline. The film is in real danger of turning out badly, as writing, filming and post-producing any movie in just over a year is a tough task - let alone a high-octane, special effects-rich Marvel project. Still, we wait with bated breath to see how it actually turns out. And now on to the actual list...
