Rogan then managed to get Downey onto the topic of exactly what went down when creating some of the most successful movies ever to grace our screens.

Downy first reminisced about how himself and Jon Favreau made it up as they went along on the first Iron Man and how Gwyneth Paltrow possessed superhuman skills when it came to absorbing lines for a scene.

He then stressed just how much importance he placed on forging relationships outside of work with his scene partners, highlighting how he insisted on 'working weekends' as he felt you couldn't replace the familiarity that comes naturally from spending time with people.

When the pair then got onto the subject of some actors not approving of certain elements within a script for one of these MCU movies, Downey admitted that he has 'had his moments' because he's 'passionate about story'. But, after a couple more outings as Tony Stark and getting a pretty 'brutal education' as to what movies of this scale required, he started to trust more that they were thinking on his behalf.
