9. Snacks
Netflix and Redbox gives you movies, sure, but do they give you snacks? I submit that they do not! Blockbuster, on the other hand, was never at a loss for sugary, chocolate coated, parent disapproved treats. They had the standard candy (e.g. - Twizzlers, Snickers, et. al.), but they also had some of the most unheard of candies that you could only find at the unaffiliated convenience store at the end of the block. They also had the microwavable popcorn tubs that made such awesome carriers for the rest of your unnecessary and fattening haul. The best part? On a Saturday night, when there were twenty or so people in line to check out, you could almost always convince your mom to get you the candy bar of your choice because she would be dumb to risk an ear shattering tantrum in a crowded store.
