10 Things You Can Expect From Ben Affleck's Batman Movie

9. A Supporting Cast To Die For

If he does get the Batman directing gig, Affleck is going to be inheriting a supporting cast from various DCCU films that could include Jeremy Irons, Jena Malone and Jared Leto, all fine performers from whom Affleck would no doubt draw great performances. But other roles in The Batman are yet to be decided, and it's here where Affleck's skill as a talent scout could come into play. The ensembles in Affleck's films have so far been uniformly excellent, with Affleck rounding out the main support cast with character actors galore. Argo was the peak: in smaller supporting roles you have Scoot McNairy (who also could return in The Batman from Batman V Superman), Kyle Chandler, Bob Gunton, Michael Parks, Richard Kind, Taylor Schilling and Philip Baker Hall. These are the kind of actors' actors that only a major star has the pull to bring in for such small supporting roles. They're also the kind of performers that only a seasoned actor like Affleck would know how to use effectively, and not lose them in the crowd of names and faces.
