10 Things You Can Expect From Ben Affleck's Batman Movie

8. A Top Drawer Performance From Affleck As Batman

There's been one recurring Affleck movie actor, one who will definitely feature in The Batman, that Ben Affleck the director has drawn a couple of particularly good performances from in his last couple of films: Ben Affleck. You see, Ben Affleck directs Ben Affleck really well, and what you could be looking at with The Batman is a defining take on the title character. Whereas in the past certain directors have struggled to make anything interesting of Affleck, a standard movie star who isn't always a man of range, Affleck as director understands what Affleck the actor needs to be pushed to greater things. For instance, The Town and Argo both feature Affleck front and centre, doing some of his best ever acting work. Both films (as well as Gone Baby Gone, which Affleck elected not to feature in) are furthermore not marred by vanity, as is the case for so many projects both directed by and featuring a star. In The Town and especially in Argo, Affleck doesn't focus on his own performance and neglect the other actors - he puts what the story demands first and foremost.
