3. Jack Skellington’s Head Is In The Film
At the top of Beetlejuice’s Merry-go-round, there is a very familiar looking skull. This was a skull that Burton had drawn since 1982, and the sketches of which he used to created the main character in another of his most famous films, The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Although the character had not been in development yet, Burton had had the idea of a film containing this adorably creepy skeleton, but wasn’t sure how to go about it.
Now watching back through Beetlejuice gives us the joy of a small Easter Egg implanted in the film before Burton even knew it would become that.
