10 Things You Didn't Know About Back To The Future
8. Michael J. Fox Is Three Years Older Than His On-Screen Dad
The time paradoxes of Back To The Future leaked out into the real world it seems. Crispin Glover (who plays George McFly in the film) is actually Michael J. Fox's junior by a whole three years - not that you'd even know it, as much of Glover's on-screen time is spent under a truck-load of makeup. Three years isn't a large stretch of time in terms of the human life span, but nevertheless, it must have been strange for Glover and Fox to play father and son respectively when the father was actually younger in reality. It's hardly a unique situation, or even the weirdest, when it comes to oddities behind the film camera, but considering the subject matter of the film, we'd have thought that Robert Zemeckis would want to two chracters that looked distinguishable from each other in terms of age. If the age gap is even noticeable at all on-screen it would be when Marty travels back to 1955 and meets his 17 year old father while he himself is the same age.
