10 Things You Didn't Know About Back To The Future
9. A Pre-Famous Billy Zane And Elijah Wood Appear In The Series
Yes, both actors appear in the series at one point or another, and while spotting Billy Zane without much help should be quite easy when watching the film, chances are, you'll have a tough time spotting Elijah Wood - mainly because he's just a wee lad in it. Zane has far more screen time than Wood too, he plays one of Biffs paradoxical goons in both the past and future in Back To The Future Part I & II. Wood on the other hand, only has a fleeting scene in the future Hill Valley when he laughs at Marty McFly playing an arcade game with his hands. Wood never explains what videogames of the future are played with, but considering it's considered rather backward to play games in the future with your hands, we're going to go with some form of virtual reality. Zane has stated in interviews since the release of the trilogy that his casting was a complete fluke; turning up in some plain clothes with a nonchalant attitude, he was cast in the role of Match. For both actors, Back To The Future was their film debut, and while Zane has certainly had his fair share of excellent acting credits, it's arguably Elijah Wood that eventually rose to having the most famous roles. But then again, it's tough to land a more famous role than that of a Hobbit.
