Having always had the desire for more creative control over his work, Eastwood finally made his directorial debut in 1971 with Play Misty For Me, a psychological thriller about a radio jockey (Clint) being stalked by a crazed female fan. More recently, however, he has been forced to seek court protection from a real-life stalker who had broken into his home claiming to be his son. The intrusion reportedly left him "seriously alarmed and annoyed". Presumably, the intruder was also a crazed fan, as you'd have to be crazy to sneak up on Clint Eastwood of all people. The actor's other stalkers include Friends star Jennifer Anniston, who records videos of him whenever he pulls up next to her at red lights.
