10 Things You Didn't Know About Darth Vader

How well do you know the greatest villain of all-time?

There is so much to Darth Vader that makes him endlessly memorable: the mask, that deep and unforgettable voice (thanks, James Earl Jones), his laboured breathing, and all those famously quotable quotes ("No, I am your father!"). The most iconic villain in cinema history and the most popular character to featured in the Star Wars saga to date - or, at least, the most important - his silhouette alone is enough to instil fear into the hearts of an entire generation of movie-goers. And all this from a bad guy whose face you barely ever see! Even the prequel movies, which went back and chronicled the events that led Anakin Skywalker to the Dark Side couldn't kill Darth Vader's impact. Heck, despite being dead he's still playing a role in the new Star Wars trilogy, his legacy giving inspiration to a new intergalactic menace. Given how popular Darth Vader is, and how rooted he has become in popular culture at large, it's easy to think you already know everything there is to know about George Lucas's classic villain. Not so! Here are 10 interesting facts that you probably weren't aware of with regards to the former Sith who brought balance to the Force.
