Emily Jean Stone was born on 6th November 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona but it wasn't until years later that she first became known as Emma. She registered with the Screen Actors Guild, but there was already an Emily Stone on the list so she took up the stage name 'Riley Stone,' the name for which she is credited under after her guest role on Malcolm In The Middle back in 2005. However, 'Riley' didn't stick, and Stone felt more comfortable adopting the name Emma, a nickname her mother would often call her, though her family and friends do still call her Emily.
