10 Things You Didn't Know About Felicity Jones

6. She's Pals With Lena Dunham

It pays to have friends in high places. Especially if that high place is HBO. Apparently it was a friendship struck up after bumping into each other and having an informal chat that won Jones a brief role on Lena Dunham's Girls, the controversial drama that's either a really cool break for women in television (Dunham writes, directs and stars) or a sad example of gentrification. Anyway, Jones was in an episode of the third season last year, playing the daughter of a recovering drug addict played by Richard E Grant. Dottie was only a one-off character but it was born of a love Jones has for the show, being a long-time fan who's watched every episode. Except, apparently, the episode she starred in. €œSometimes it€™s hard watching yourself. I€™ve seen all of my movies, this is a new thing, trying not to watch my own,€ she said. €œIt€™s not for any particular reason, I just think it€™s sometimes good to just let it go. You€™re like, I did that, I was happy with it, and I don€™t want to go back and self-analyse.€
