3. Fight Club Is One Of Few Edward Norton Films The Man Himself Likes Watching
According to Edward Norton, Edward Norton is not an actor who enjoys watching himself perform in his own movies - unless that movie happens to be Fight Club, which is one of few exceptions to the rule. Yes, Norton apparently has a problem with watching movies in which he has chosen to star, but he thinks so highly of Fight Club - and its density - that he has no problem sitting down to a viewing, as made clear by the fact that he came in to watch Fight Club and all its complexities and intricacies with none other than David Fincher and Brad Pitt for the audio commentary paired with the DVD release. Norton also lambasts the movie critics who deemed 1999 as a disappointing year for cinema. "By any standard I thought it was a dynamite year," he said, sighting movies such as Fight Club, Three Kings, Being John Malkovich and Election as great flicks from '99. "Kenneth Turan and even William Goldman how theres just not anything good anymore. Its so cynical and counter-productive to me." Yep.
