7. Originally, Gizmo Was Supposed To Be Stripe
A hero is only as good as his main villain, and Stripe in the original film had that role down pat. However, Stripe wasnt in the original draft of the script. Instead, it was planned that Gizmo would be the one to turn into the villainess after-midnight eater. Producers didnt like that idea because they felt that audiences would want Gizmo to be throughout the entire movie and not turn evil. I am thankful for that decision. Im a 25 year old dude and I am not afraid to admit that Gizmo is freakin adorable. I dont think the film would have done well at all had they gone the route of turning Gizmo evil. While some movie-goers may want every hero to turn into a villain, some characters should be exempt from this. Im glad that Gizmo was one of those exemptions.
