Calm down, sci-fi fans, this isn't quite the crossover between Star Wars and Joss Whedon's cult TV series that you never knew you wanted. But, yes, Han Solo does actually appear in several episodes of space western Firefly and its spin-off movie, Serenity. Just not in the way you might think. Massive Star Wars fan Nathan Fillion owned a miniature model of Han frozen in carbonite, which he lent to the show's set department so they could use it to decorate the Serenity. It then became a running joke, with members of the crew attempting to hide it somewhere in a scene. As such, the model can frequently be glimpsed in the background at various key moments.
