10 Things You Didn't Know About Jeepers Creepers
3. There Are Jeepers Creepers Comic Books That Reveal The Mythology Of The Creeper
In the comic books inspired by and made to accompany the Jeepers Creepers films, grad student Devon is researching his thesis on Myths in American History. His investigations lead him to discover The Creeper's origins. Written by Marc Andreyko and illustrated by Kewber Baal, the comics made their debut early in 2020.
Devon travels to Mexico City and joins a trip to the Aztec Pyramids. He wanders away from the tour and discovers pictures of the 'Serpent God' or 'Dragon God' who required the Aztecs to offer up ritual human sacrifices to appease him. After escaping the pyramid an old lady gives him one of The Creeper's daggers, which alerts The Creeper when he cuts himself.
Further issues reveal The Creeper to have ties to the Native Americans and he is also responsible for destroying other civilizations including the disappearance of the Roanoke Colony in North Carolina. The comics also reveal the extent of the Creeper's powers, with having fragments of its victims' souls inside of his body.
