The first time anybody remembers glimpsing the likes of Kristen Stewart in an actual motion picture probably came with a viewing of David Fincher's brilliant little thriller, Panic Room, in which she played the daughter to Jodie Foster's protagonist, Meg, as the pair find themselves at the mercy of house intruders. Given that the flick only features a few roles, the spotlight shined firmly on Stewart for the span of the film - especially given that, due to the claustrophobic nature of the plot, her presence was necessary - and therefore - felt in almost every scene. Thankfully, it turned out that she shared great chemistry with Jodie Foster. Despite her success at playing Sarah Altman, though, Stewart wasn't considered as the first choice for the part. That honour fell to the likes of actress Hayden Panettiere, the blond-haired beauty probably best known for her role on TV's soon to be revived superhero show, Heroes, who left the project for unknown reasons sometime around 2000.
