Perhaps that's why Luke Skywalker - alongside faithful companions R2-D2 and C-3PO - appeared on an episode of the classic show in 1980, a year before the release of The Empire Strikes Back. That said, Mark Hamill's in-character appearance on The Muppet Show isn't a particularly well-known occurrence - it's one that feels truly lost in the mists of time.
