Prince doesn't make many TV appearances. The Purple One doesn't allow interviews with him for print to be recorded, preferring journalists try and remember the general vibe of their conversation than any verbatim quotes, so you can understand he might be a little shy in front of a live camera, too. He does make some exceptions, though. Before his hilarious cameo in his favourite sitcom New Girl, though, Prince gave a rare interview to the talk show Lopez Tonight a few years ago and top of his typical rock star list of requests, along with bottled water and organic tortilla chips, was that Rosario Dawson be a guest on the show too. Say wha? Turns out Prince and Dawson go way back, the actor being called up by the musician to perform a monologue on his 1999 album because he considered her to be a voice of a generation. That's all she'll say about their friendship and musical collaboration, though, since she signed many many non-disclosure agreements.
