10 Things You Didn't Know About The Millennium Falcon

9. Everyone In The Galaxy Seems To Have Owned It

Han Solo won the Millennium Falcon from Lando Calrissian in a game of sabacc. Then after Solo's carbonitification, the Falcon goes back to Lando, then back to Han, then on loan to Lando to blow up the Death Star II.

Some time between Return of the Jedi and The Force Awakens, somebody named Duqesne steals the Falcon from Solo, then the Erwin boys steal it from Duqesne, and finally neckless slavedriver Unkar Plutt pinches it from the Erwins. Rey steals it from Unkar Plutt, Han gets hold of it again, and finally Rey ends up flying it at the end of The Force Awakens.

So far, so chequered a history. But Star Wars Legends inevitably delves into the Falcon's ownership prior to Lando. The Millennium Falcon has its own novel in the Legends canon where a couple of smugglers, Kal and Dova Brigger, buy the spanking new ship, then it ends up in the possession of a secretive Republic loyalist group.

It's stolen by a Rebel thief named Zenn Bien, and eventually ended up owned by a travelling circus before Lando got his hands on it. Of course, Disney has decided none of that actually happened, but if Legends is taken into account half the people in the galaxy seem to have owned the damn thing.
