Given that the first film was actually very tongue in cheek about the hypermasculinity of action movies, it’s no surprise there’s female Predators too!
Although they aren’t shown in the movies – they have a fairly big presence in the comics, specifically Aliens Vs Predator Witchblade and Darkness. Not only that, but they are massive, with males literally being thrown across the room during, ahem, woo-woo as the Sims eloquently puts it.
In the novels and comics, they’re depicted as more calculating than the males and are often shown to be better hunters. Some also have nicknames like their male counterparts. These include Sister Midnight, Hashori and the brilliantly named Big Mama. Wonder how much fanart there is out there...
