10 Things You Didn't Know About Will Ferrell

5. He Secretly Made A Lifetime TV Movie

While it would be tough to sell Ferrell as a melodramatic actor, per se, he is certainly the type of person who enjoys being over-the-top in his roles. That's why it's so hard to believe that the comedian known for showing off his flabby bits attempted to make a Lifetime Original Movie. And it was meant to be taken seriously. Even more strange, fellow SNL alumnus Kristen Wiig was his co-star in the film. A Deadly Adoption, which is a classic Lifetime title, also features this gem of a storyline (from IMDB): A distanced couple decide to take in a seemingly innocent pregnant woman in hopes of adopting her unborn child. However, there is more to a book than its cover. Once again, this wasn't supposed to be a joke. In fact, it was kept a secret for as long as possible because Ferrell knew that people wouldn't respond well to the idea of a movie of this nature having two famous comedians in the starring roles and wanted to catch everyone off guard when it aired. The secret did get out before its release, however, and resulted in 2.1 million viewers watching the oddity unfold.
