4. His First Film Role Was In A Made-For-TV Horror Movie
Playing the distinguished role of Young Man, Ferrell's first film role of any kind was in a made-for-TV remake of Roger Corman's horror comedy, A Bucket of Blood. The premise is...something: An inspiring artist accidentally kills his landlady's cat, covers it in plaster, and sells it as a statue. Suddenly, he becomes the newest hot thing in the artistic world, and decides to start killing other things (and people) to cover in plaster. Ferrell's character is an admirer of the cat who "doesn't have the funds to be buying various pieces of artwork." He sports an afro, a goatee, and a terrific fur vest. His performance is bookended by a shirtless hunk playing a stand-up bass. The 1995 version featured a veritable Who's Who of has-beens and up-and-comers, including the likes of Anthony Michael Hall, Justine Bateman, David Cross, and Jennifer Coolidge. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mUqaNaaPhY
