10 Things You Learn Rewatching Halloween (1978)
1. In Summary
John Carpenter's Halloween holds up as a chillingly effective horror film and it's obvious to see why it launched a franchise with such longevity. It's got great characters, stellar direction, and a score that any horror filmmaker would kill for. And on top of all of that, it introduced the world to Michael Myers in spectacularly horrific fashion.
Haddonfield High Superlatives:
Best Kill: Michael skewering Bob to the wall with a knife.
Funniest Scene: Loomis scaring Lonnie away from the Myers' house with his weird voice and saying "Lonnie, get your ass away from there".
