10 Things You Need To Know About Aquaman

9. The Script Is “Really Fun"

Aquaman Justice League Close Up

From smashing cameras in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice to squaring up with Bruce Wayne in the Justice League trailer, all the footage we've seen of Jason Momoa's Aquaman has been serious. But if you're worried that his solo movie will be a dour affair, full of frowning and monosyllabic grunted dialogue, don't be.

In a new interview with Collider, screenwriter Will Beall (who's working from a story outline by DC Comics legend Geoff Johns and director James Wan) assured fans that his Aquaman script won't be a dark'n'brooding fest: “It’s going to be fun, it’s going to be really fun", Beall promised, providing another reason to be hyped.

According to Beall, Wan "has a really clear idea of the tone he’s going to have" and the movie is "going to blow people’s minds, not just visually, but [...] the story and the scope of it.” Sounds great, doesn't it? Superheroes are bad-ass and often godlike beings, but that doesn't mean they can't have sense of humour and some fun scenes. This could be the first DCEU movie to understand that.
