10 Things You Need To Know About Captain America: Civil War
3. No Hulk, But Red Hulk Might Show
Based on comments from Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age Of Ultron was originally supposed to end with The Hulk's Quinjet heading into outer space, thereby setting up the fan-favourite Planet Hulk storyline. However, it appears as if Marvel aren't 100% sure what to do next with the Green Goliath, which perhaps explains why his fate was left fairly open ended.
It has been confirmed by Kevin Feige that Hulk won't factor into the events of Captain America: Civil War, but Red Hulk? Well, that's a different story altogether.
Before it was announced that William Hurt would be reprising his Incredible Hulk role as Thunderbolt Ross, rumours started swirling about the Red Hulk being part of this movie. Teasing comments from the actor when he's been asked about that lately have only added fuel to the fire, so Red Hulk showing up in some capacity is looking like at least a possibility right now.
It's hard to say how and where he would factor into the story, but there's enough evidence to at least be on the lookout for this controversial version of the Hulk. Ross suddenly transforming during the battle between Captain America and Iron Man's forces would make for a very unexpected twist anyway, as will whose side the beast winds up being on.
